The consortium of venues that make up Wynn’s nightlife profile — XS, Surrender, Tryst and Encore Beach Club — released its 2015 resident DJ lineup this morning, and it looks a lot like last year’s.
Largely foregoing the game of DJ musical chairs prevalent at most of its competitors, the Wynn venues retained almost all of its biggest names and only gained a small handful of additions. Regarding the former, Diplo, Zedd, Avicii, David Guetta, Skrillex and Dillon Francis remain onboard. The Weekly previously reported on the newbies, the venue quartet gaining defectors Arty (from Drai’s) and Laidback Luke (formerly of Light Group).
Earlier this month, Wynn announced the exclusive residency of Kaskade, who will now cease his Summer Lovin’ residency at Marquee.
Noticeably missing from the announcement is Deadmau5, who had returned to XS after a brief dalliance with Hakkasan. He had been XS’ lone non-EDM, non-hip-hop talent. He recently said on Twitter that soon-to-open Omnia couldn’t afford him—perhaps his former Vegas home couldn’t either.
