During the airing of last night’s BET Hip Hop Awards, Eminem overshadowed anything and anyone else with a freestyle cypher called “The Storm.”
The lyrics take aim at President Donald Trump and his various, according to Em, missteps since taking office in January. One line references former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick (“That’s not disrespectin’ the military/ Fuck that, this is for Colin, ball up a fist/ And keep that shit balled like Donald the bitch”) who originally began protesting against police brutality and racial injustice in America by kneeling for the national anthem during the 2016 NFL preseason.
