“The year was 2011. I had just moved downtown, landed a spot as an editor on DMS, and was holding it down at Mt. Adams Pavilion — opening for all the big-name DJs coming through town. Around that same time, I dropped a mix on SoundCloud called Thunder In Paradise (yeah, named after that old Hulk Hogan TV show :joy:).
Back then, the only things that really mattered were getting better as a DJ… and collecting sneakers to flex on other DJs.

Everything in the scene was big room EDM — but I wanted to go in a different direction. Something that felt more me. That mix ended up being one of the most talked-about things I’ve ever released. And nearly 15 years later, people still bring it up.

What I didn’t know at the time was how much it would open doors — out-of-town gigs, joining the FitRadio fam (now with over 40 million streams), and connecting with people who’ve helped shape my DJ journey coast to coast.

Drew and I always say: mixes have been our superpower. :boom:
This isn’t a club mix. It’s a vibe.

Perfect for cruising with the windows down, poolside hangs, or just kicking back. A blend of genres and decades — like one long soundtrack for a good day.
Just like the original, I stayed up all night making this.

This is the 2025 version — same soul, new feel.”
