We all know Avicii, his breakout instant classic “Le7els,” and his recent decision to quit touring. But what do you know about Tim Bergling?
The man behind the music is famously elusive, but he’s prepared to give fans a rare look into his inner circle in a documentary titled Avicii: True Stories. The official trailer teases studio footage — tracing back to before “Le7els” was released — through his complicating health issues and chronicling the mounting anxiety of an introverted artist who suddenly finds himself one of the biggest names in international music. The storyline weaves in and out of footage from Avicii’s final concert at Ushuaia Ibiza, Aug. 26 of 2016.
It’s four years of footage, featuring interviews and commentary from Bergling’s musical peers, including Chris Martin, David Guetta, Nile Rodgers, and Wyclef Jean. Avicii: True Stories is directed by Levan Tsikurishvili, who’s previously worked with Avicii on the short film music videos of “Pure Grinding” and “For A Better Day,” as well as other video projects. The film comes to theaters Tuesday, Oct. 26. Check the official film website to see where and when it’s playing a city near you.
