The legendary DJ Premier adds another notch to his hole-ridden belt by being the first DJ to deliver a “Tiny Desk” concert for NPR. Joined by his touring band, The Badder Band, Premo delivers a nine-song medley of some of his more underrated productions from the ’90s, including Das EFX’s “Real Hip-Hop,” Gang Starr’s “Moment of Truth” and KRS-One’s “MC’s Act Like They Don’t Know.” With a mix of drums, brass and bass guitar, The Badder Band puts a vibrant spin on the setlist while Premo commands the NPR lunch hour party like a true DJ.
