You may not think it from the onstage personas of DJs like Moby and Wolfgang Gartner, but they weren’t always the showmen you see them as now. In fact, they both sort of gravitated toward the world of electronic music as a way to socialize. And a new documentary, featuring the two of them and more, seeks to highlight how music can have a therapeutic effect on those with social anxiety. Before We Were Kings is currently in production and has taken to Kickstarter to help fund their project, which already includes the aforementioned DJ stars on-board as well as Sander Kleinenberg, Sandra Collins, and more.
