In Noisey’s brand new series, Big Night Out, journalist Clive Martin heads off on a inebriated quest into the dark heart of the UK club scene just to understand how different types of music make people do things they regret in the morning.

Be it gabber ravers in Glasgow, trilby wearing indie loyalists in London, Reading drum & bass heads or luminous booze swilling students in Cardiff. It seems that the idea of the “Big Night Out” is what unites these strange worlds.

In the first episode of Big Night Out, journalist Clive Martin heads north to Glasgow in search of a ‘big night out’ in the UK Gabber scene. To do this he must endure 200 bpm tunes, scores of shirtless men punching the ceiling, hockey mask wearing hardcore fiends, and a man with a rather unusual tattoo.
