Lil Yachty has been eating pizza every single day since he was in second grade. The oddball Atlanta MC linked up with Rob Markman at Stella Barra Pizzeria in West Hollywood to make their own pies for the latest episode of Genius’ in-depth interview series IRL.
In the interview, Yachty takes us through his childhood, detailing how his dad introduced him to black Atlanta culture and inspired him to start making music on his computer. “My brother, who is now my producer, Earl—we used to just make skits,” he tells Genius. “I used to listen to Weird Al Yankovic. My dad loved Dave Chappelle. I used to make funny songs—parodies. But I never took it serious. It wasn’t until college was trash that I knew I could do it, bro.”
