Mix #118 we bring DJ NATHAN SHANE from Long Beach, California. After growing up listening to Rock, Pop, and Classic Hip Hop in the late 80’s and 90’s, Nathan Shane always had a passion for music and entertainment. During his Junior year of High School, he attended an event called Audiotistic hosted by Insomniac which now hosts some of the largest EDM venues on the planet. That event was truly ground breaking in molding Nathan’s drive for DJing. That night took his appreciation for music to a new level and completely shifted the paradigm. Picking up on the art of DJing at a young age of 16, Nathan actively pursued his passion for entertaining people ever since.

In 2001 he purchased his first pair of Technic 1210 Turntables and didn’t look back. Being able to mix and scratch multiple genres of music together always struck him as something special. Some of his early influences include but are not limited to The World Famous Beat Junkies, DJ Revolution, Spinbad, DJ AM, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Vice, DJ Premier, Rob Swift, and many other great Disc Jockeys that are still killing the game today. Now that Technology and music have advanced so far in such a short amount of time, Nathan insisted on adapting himself to a rapid changing industry. By applying his highly unorthodox style with an extensive selection of great music, Nathan is in his prime for gaining honest recognition among his fans and fellow DJs.

Playing various venues throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, he can definitely be found in the thick of things. If you have not heard his mixes yet, you are in for a treat beyond belief. Hope you dig it!.” Download and Listen to his open format mix he made exclusively for us at DMS.
